Supporting Student Wellbeing and Mental Health
Intellectual growth and academic achievement should not come at the expense of wellbeing. Below students will find a wealth of resources to support their mental health and wellbeing, including professional services, discussion groups, and health and wellness classes.
Prioritize your wellbeing
Health and wellbeing resources are found online on the CAMHS and Center for Wellness and Health Promotion websites. Resources can also be found related to online and personal safety.
Counseling and Mental Health Services
CAMHS delivers an array of mental health services and helps students connect with the many additional resources available within and beyond Harvard.
Center for Wellness and Health Promotion
The Center for Wellness and Health Promotion offers an array of holistic therapies and mind/body activities to promote whole health in the individual.
Resources in Times of Crisis
Harvard University is committed to supporting our community members affected by crises at home and abroad. These resources are intended to help community members who are struggling or in need of support.
Expand your wellbeing
Find online and in person groups to support healthy relationships, engage in physical activity, and find balance.
Find a group
Build a network of supportive relationships by joining one of CAMHS workshops or groups – online or in-person.
Build a strong mind-body connection
Learn about mindfulness, take a meditation class, or find a group for movement and exercise.
Focus on health and safety related to substance use
Learn more about resources to mitigate the risks and consequences of excessive alcohol and substance use. Explore resources related to recovery from addiction.

In addition to the services available from Harvard’s Counseling and Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and the Center for Wellness and Health Promotion (CWHP), the following resources are available to providers and support groups.

TimelyCare, a virtual health and wellbeing platform, expands access to no-cost mental health and wellness services for registered students. Access telehealth counseling services, psychiatry, health coaching, peer support groups, and more.
Find an off-campus mental health provider
Students may seek out or be referred to mental health providers off-campus for a variety of reasons. Find out more about the options available to you.

Student Wellbeing Council
The Student Wellbeing Council promotes a culture of wellbeing for all students and serves as a platform for gathering and sharing important information among student leaders across the Schools. The council’s goals will also include raising awareness about available mental health and wellness resources and organizing programs and initiatives that promote wellbeing.
