Dear Members of the Harvard Community,
Generosity and loyalty are among the defining characteristics of our alumni. Today, we are delighted to announce that Ken Griffin ’89 has made an unrestricted gift of $300 million to the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, furthering a philanthropic legacy that spans four decades and totals more than $500 million. We are deeply grateful for his continued confidence and steadfast engagement, which includes unparalleled support for undergraduate financial aid.
In recognition of Ken’s commitment to our mission, Harvard will rename its Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS) in his honor. For the past 150 years, GSAS has nurtured and expanded the ambitions of students who have changed the world through their vast and varied scholarly pursuits. Now, the Harvard Kenneth C. Griffin Graduate School of Arts and Sciences will do the same. For more details, please visit the Harvard Gazette.
