Dear Members of the Harvard Community,
Today is National Voter Registration Day. Across the country, communities are working to ensure that more people fulfill the first responsibility of citizenship in a democracy. Harvard is proud to be among them.
If you are eligible to vote, I encourage you to visit the nonpartisan Harvard Votes Challenge website, where you can find resources to confirm your voter registration status, register if you haven’t already done so, and prepare to cast an in-person or mail-in ballot in the midterm election.
At a time of sharp division, democracy demands our constant effort. We have had great success in increasing voter registration rates in recent election years, and I hope we maintain our momentum. Our votes are our voices—may we appreciate and exercise them.
All the best,
Larry
